About Me

My name is Matt Holmes and I live in a small village in Leicestershire with my family (Mum, Dad, brother and sister).

I have very recently graduated from Staffordshire University with a 'First Class Honours Degree in "Film Production Technology", which has brought together my passions for photography and filming.

I first became interested in photography at Scouts, when my Scout Leader sent us all out with a conventional SLR camera and a roll of black and white film. The following week we developed our films in the Scout hut kitchen using the original darkroom methods.

I enjoyed this so much that the following Christmas my parents bought me my first digital camera, a "Minolta DiMage Z1". I took my new camera everywhere with me, snapping away at anything and everything!

A few years later my parents bought me a Digital SLR camera, a "Canon EOS 350D", which I am still using today. I have two lenses for my Digital SLR - an 18-55mm wide angle lens and a 100-300mm telephoto lens. I do occasionally use a tripod, but very rarely.

Photography has become a passion of mine and I continue to develop and experiment with my camera to see what new and exciting photographs I can produce.

Thank you once again for looking at my website and I hope you are enjoying browsing around.
